A senior executive at McLaren Automotive, the company announced plans to follow a “much broader” area of high-end sports cars after the introduction of the new 2012 McLaren MP4-12C. McLaren’s managing director Antony Sheriff said that the use of lightweight materials like carbon fiber and other advanced technologies, the company should be able to more stringent fuel economy and emissions.
