Waking up in the morning (presumably to go slave away for the man for 8hrs) sucks. It’s not a fun experience and having a twenty dollar alarm clock with an alarm that sounds like a combination of nails on a chalkboard and a car wreck doesn’t make it any better. Really, do you want to wake up at the start of every day thinking you’re Jack Bauer and mankind is under siege? Maybe once, but not every day. With the new BeoTime from Bang & Olufsen, you don’t have to. The BeoTime hooks up to standard AV equipment, so you can use it as speakers to fall asleep to(there’s a sleep timer) or wake up to. It’s also equipped with a built-in motion sensor and automatic backlighting because, well, that’s just how Bang & Olufsen rolls. Like every other B&O product, it also happens to be gorgeous. $395
